I just recently got back from a work trip to London, England. I know, I am pretty lucky that I got sent to England for work! There are tons of places to stay in London but I loved where I stayed. I wanted to be near the venue where my work event was but also able to easily get to central London in the evenings. After all my research The Brewer’s Inn in Wandsworth fit this bill!

Location, Location, Location
Wandsworth is located about a 5 minute walk + 15 minute train ride from Waterloo Station in central London. It is one of the safest areas in London with a fairly low crime rate. It felt like a sleepy little town but it still had tons of restaurants, shops and cafes. The Brewer’s Inn itself has a lovely restaurant and bar where I enjoyed lentil soup and espresso one rainy afternoon.

Nearby is the Birdhouse cafe where I had an amazing brunch before heading to the airport on the way home. Baked eggs with a tomato and chorizo sauce.

I also went for a run right from my hotel in a 5K loop that brought me back to the hotel. Everything is laid out well and I didn’t get lost.

The Room & Amenities
The hotel actually felt like you were staying in London. Why stay in a generic hotel room that looks like you could be anywhere. This place had character!

I stayed in a snug room which while quite small was perfect for the solo traveller. The room had everything I could possibly need! Including a full size hair dryer, fresh jug of water everyday, mini fridge, soaps and shampoos and a coffee station complete with Nespresso machine, tea, Cadbury hot chocolate and biscuits! I am normally not someone who drinks coffee in a hotel room but I loved the Nespresso machine. I enjoyed coffee every morning while I got ready for work.

I ordered room service breakfast twice on mornings I was up early for work and had the full english breakfast. While it was a lot larger then my normal breakfast, I think everyone should experience a full english breakfast in England!

Overall, I loved the Brewer’s Inn and when I come back to London with my husband one of these days we will likely stay here again. I never felt unsafe here for a second. The hotel had everything you could possibly need and was very reasonably priced. It is the perfect home base to explore the beautiful city of London!
